Studying abroad

 

We would like to motivate our students to spend time abroad to improve their language competence, gain insights into other cultures, and become familiar with other universities. The degree programs offered since the winter semester 2015|16 provide the opportunity to integrate study abroad in your studies within the "Ergänzungsbereich" (electives). We recommend studying abroad in a country in which the local language is the language you selected as "A." 

The teaching staff at the Department of Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian Studies, in particular the language instructors, are happy to support you when selecting a university for studying abroad. The Department has numerous contacts to Arabic, Turkish, and Indonesian universities. For example, cooperation agreements enable our students to study at the universities listed below.

Please contact the Study Program Counselor, Dr. Stephan Milich (smilich(at)uni-koeln.de), if you would like to establish a learning agreement for the recognition of academic work performed and the necessary preparatory measures.
